Where to Find Local Bands in Los Angeles no comments
Sometimes hearing Lady Gaga and Katy Perry on a continuous loop on the iPod gets a little monotonous, a little stale. You may want to spice up your music pallet by visiting some local music venues and checking out the up and coming bands. Thankfully in The City of Angels, there’s a whole slew of venues where you can check out the local music scene. Here are the top three picks.
The Lava Lounge, Hollywood, CA.
The Lava Lounge is the place to go to hear garage, punk and rock music. They host more underground musicians with unique sounds, so it’s a great place to rock your leather pants and graphic tees while listening to something new, fresh and grunge.I found some more information here. If you go to Lava Lounge you won’t be disappointed with the band choices. Bands like The Northstar Session, The Modlins and The Truckee Brothers have all performed here.
Rusty’s Surf Ranch, Santa Monica, CA
Rusty’s Surf Ranch is a bar and grill that also hosts a battle of the bands. This is the opportunity for local bands to show everyone what they have. Located on the Santa Monica Pier, you can dine and listen to the local talent while also hearing the surf crash on the beach. It’s a great beach location to see and meet locals. Bands like The Bad Bad Things and Olio are going to perform in the battle of the bands.
Aqua Lounge, Beverly Hills, CA
Beverly Hills. That’s where you want to be if you want popular hits with live music as well. The Aqua Lounge is a cool place with electric blue lighting and swanky sitting areas. There is a huge dance floor and fine dining. The DJ plays songs but then there are local bands that play music from jazz to funk.
