TO GET AROUND IN VEGAS
Basically you walk! Get a Hotel close to or better yet on the Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) and walk around. Many of the Casinos are connected with each other and some convenient walkways are provided. Just recently a light rail has been introduced connecting some of the major Resorts. You will also find Hotels, more often the older ones, in Downtown Las Vegas. However when you are just in town for one or two days, you will have plenty to discover just on the Las Vegas Strip. All the major Theme Hotels, the biggest reason next to Gaming why people and tourists visit Las Vegas, are located here.
The most famous Theme Hotels are Ceasars Palace, Treasure Island, Paris, Aladdin, Bellagio, The Venetian, Monte Carlo, New York New York and Luxor. Most expensive are Bellagio and The Venetion. Therefore our favorite (getting more bang for your buck) is Paris. A great Theme Hotel & Casino, with good food, great rooms, and acceptable rates. From $79 on weeknights to $249 and up in weekends and during conventions. No, we don’t get special commissions on this hotel! And you can checkout all of them at our TravelDesk.
