CASINOS
On March 19th 1911, gambling is legalized in the State of Nevada. One month later, the city of Las Vegas issues six gambling licenses. That was some 95 years ago! Today Las Vegas is the biggest Casino City in the World. Although the word gambling nowadays preferably (and understandably) is replaced with the word gaming, the excitement has grown. Some people say Vegas aint the same anymore. And that’s definitely true. Vegas as we know it from the past (movies) has been slowly morphed into a Disneyland for Adults and locally revered to as The Entertainment Capitol of the World. Las Vegas, in fact, is much more then gaming. First of all, the Theme Hotels offer exclusive shopping, renowned art galleries, theme park like attractions, some of the best nightlife around in the country and last but not least fantastic Las Vegas shows and top artist performances.
To enter a casino you need to be at least 21. Drinks are usually free when you participate in any gaming offered on the casino floor. But don’t forget to tip! Depending on the day of the week and the time of day, you will be able to participate in gaming for as little as $1 per game. Of course when you feel lucky playing for as high as $10.000 per game is also optional. You will find the most interesting casinos in Hotels such as Bellagio, The Venetian, Paris, New York New York and Monte Carlo. Other casinos located off Strip or Downtown Las Vegas usually allow gaming for less. And of course all casinos offer a wide variety of slot machines that operate on 25 cents. To give you an idea, only The Venetian casino floor already harbors 22.000 slot machines.
And when you still have money left on your way back to the Airport. Not to worry, you will find money hungry slot machines every where at the Airport, from the restrooms, to the Gate Area.
Good Luck!
