Things to do when you’re in Tucson!
We didn’t make you all the way come here if we didn’t think it would be a nice place to stay for a night or two. You will probably need an extra night to recover somewhat from your long drive from San Diego and more important to have a chance to visit some of the interesting sights around here and/or get some desert action! You could visit the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, do a desert trekking tour, some mountain biking or even a 2 day salt river canyon adventure (for this you will need an extra 3rd day though, of which one night is included in the adventure package).

Trekking Tour (4 hours)
“Arduous journeys. Some call it hiking. We prefer to call it trekking. Where we like to go, is not always easy. It's work, sometimes hard work but with many rewards.
There is something about Trekking in the deserts and mountains of the Southwest. The extremity of the terrain. The harshness of the environment. The necessary strengths to be able to survive in that environment. Still the Sonoran Desert that awaits you may not be what you imagined deserts to be. Although severe, the diversity of plants and wildlife that coexist here affirm the balance of nature. Within this is offered clarity and stillness.
Walk on the wild side. Steep trails, meandering, narrow trails, unmarked trails, seldom used trails, rocky trails, trails over boulders, under boulders, star light trails, it all can happen on just one trek through the Southwest. Allow yourself the indulgence of time, and you will be rewarded with a wilderness experience that will seem to linger for a lifetime”. According to this Tour Operator. Book this tour.
